Memories & Candles
Carolyn,
Please accept my sincere condolences on loss of John. As a young store manager back in 1992 he was a Mentor, and Friend. If I needed advice he was the one I would call for guidance. I always enjoyed his quick wit. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Carolyn and Family,
We heard with total shock, the passing of John.
We loved meeting you two in Florida while visiting the Wilmarths.
We will always remember his love for his fellow man, which he exuded at all times.WE appreciated his wonderful ways and kindness to all.

My favorite childhood memories were of the times we would get together with the "Murray Clan" and gather all the cousins together. It was a great time and family reunion and I remember John's infectious laugh as he joked around with the aunts and uncles and cousins. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed. We are shocked by the terrible news and send our love and prayers to Carolyn and her family. We are donating to Wounded warriors in honor of John and his service.

John was a great guy. Several times while i was playing Lake Mohawk yesterday with my son Zachary (John was his confirmation sponsor) I pointed out things that John had done/taught me when he was a member. All of the Sullivan's will miss John.

John always made me feel welcome in the " missing links" when I first joined several years ago. His kindness will never be forgotten. He loved working on his sons house on the Isle of Palms and the progress they made together. He certainly loved his family, he spoke proudly of all when we shared a golf cart.
He was a big man with a big heart

John was the king of his castle at JCPenney in Rockaway. It was always an adventure bringing someone from the "home" office into John's store. John was always welcoming and kind to his guests and you knew that John would get his point across in a very humorous way. He was a great man and it was a pleasure to be in his company.
To the Head family, I am very sorry for your loss and John will be in my thoughts and prayers. I lit a candle this evening for John in Church.
