John was a great leader...at home, in business, and in his community. I loved his sarcasm. Working for him is one of the highlights of my career at JCPenney.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

It is with profound sadness that we learned of John's passing. Our all too brief times we shared with him and Carolyn will be greatly missed. His warmth and wit will remain with us forever, we are consoled in the knowledge of Carolyn's and her family's faith, and we look forward to a time of inexpressive joy and reunion in Paradise,

We will miss John .... He was a dedicated JCP HCSC Group member. He served in several positions of our group and was always willing to give his all no matter what the assignment or occasion. He was a very happy person. Always with a joke ready to make people laugh, especially when you least expected it. His pride in all of his family members was evident. Especially the grandchildren. Carolyn was his compass, and he was hers .... it worked beautifully. They enjoyed life fully ..... together. We will miss you John.

John was truly a "Loyal Son" of our Lady's University.
He will be sorely missed by all in the Notre Dame community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Carolyn and your family.
