I am very sorry for your loss Marie.

Emerson was a great leader across South Carolina in many ways. His leadership of the efforts for reduction of our home taxes and elimination of the grocery tax is still saving our citizens as much as a billion dollars a year. I have had many hundreds of people express appreciation for the efforts. It was a great pleasure to work with him.

Please know that our prayers are with his family.

Emerson was a pillar in the real estate community. Both my father and I looked up to him as a mentor and guide. He will be missed.

My sympathy goes out to the family of Mr. Read Sr. Remembering and cherishing the happy times might be painful at first; however, those memories will sustain you through the days ahead. (2 Corinthians 4:7) My thoughts and prayers are with you all -
