My husband Joe and I were always happy to see Lisa and Geoff and compare notes re: beds and breakfast. We were lucky to run into him and share a bit of what was going on with him. The last was when he told us about his illness. Knowing him was a pleasure tho not really enough. We are so sad that he left so young. Geoff was really special, and what a packed life of achievement, with enough energy

Geoff was one of those rare people that made you feel good no matter where or when you bumped into him around town. Oftentimes he would be seen tooling around on his bicycle and if he noticed you, would take the time to stop and say hello, how are ya doing? He was genuinely a caring person and I am very grateful to have had the honor to know him just a little. Our sincere condolences to Lisa and family.

What a beautiful man. I shared a time with him back in the day and decades later still have only love in my heart for him. My condolences to all whose lives he touched, for this loss, but we were also fortunate for whatever time we had with him. Truly, only the good die young.

His medical contributions ranged well beyond simply seeing patients; he made lasting contributions to his hospital, medical group, and his community and State. He seemed effortlessly skilled at so many things, the embodiment of the old prep school axiom to 'do it really really well, but make it look

Geoff was a great and giving person. We are so sorry to hear about his passing, and wish we had been able to spend more time with him in his final years. He will be sorely missed by all the people he has touched in his life.

Dr. Renk was a brilliant physician, and a very patient, passionate educator. I had never seen him without a smile on his face, and light in his eyes. He was a gentle, caring soul, and I am certain he is looking down on all of us with the love he always shared with those who surrounded him. My condolences to his family. It is truly a loss to the people of Charleston, and the community of medicine.

While he was a superb physician, Dr. Renk was an even better person. His warmth and kindness was felt by everyone around him. Working with him at St. Francis was an honor. I loved this man. Rest in Peace, Dr. Renk.
