My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lein family and Ruth Ann. I worked with both John and Ruth at the National Weather Service office in Charleston from 1994 - 1998.

My deepest sympathy to Ruth Ann and all the Lein family on the loss of John. He will long be remembered for his smile, positive attitude and always wanting to voluntarily help keep the history of the USAF Air Weather and Air Weather Reconnaissance Services updated and to keep great camaraderie among its members. He was great to see at many reunions. Best wishes to his family and close friends for good health and strength to carry on.

I only met John a few times. Each a good time getting together for a holiday or birthday. He was a good man and it's so good to have his three children and grandson among my friends. Homeward through the haze.
