Memories & Candles
My condolences to the Carr family. Don was an outstanding coworker in the 437 CES, and a great friend.
A quick funny story...
Don and I went bass fishing on Lake Moultrie many years ago and we got his boat stuck on a tree stump in waist deep water. He stripped down to his birthday suit and jumped overboard to rock the boat. It didn't work so he tells me Out the boat dough boy. We both ended up totally naked

As a teen in the Panama Canal Zone (72'), Don would ride all over base on his copper color 50cc bike, he played drums and spent time with band members and friends, helped coach the girls softball team during the summer and spent many days and nights camping out and enjoying the beaches. He will be missed, my memories are sweet and many.

I worked with Don from 1987 when we were in the Field Training Detachment at Charleston until his retirement. During that time we went fishing and boating a number of times. I lost track over the years but reconnected about a year ago on facebook, great guy, dad and friend. Terribly sorry of your loss

I have known Don since we both got stationed at Charleston AFB in 1976 in the Civil Engineer Squadron. In 1980 I got discharged and he stayed in to retire from active duty. In 1989 I came back to the Civil Engineer Squadron as a civilian and he was back in the squadron again also. We kept in touch over the years and talked about our retirement days. We would have our "Happy Hour" occasionally on Friday evenings over the
