Ivan was a very nice and caring man. I worked with him at Charleston Naval Shipyard where I was an Insulator Apprentice. He trained me during part of my apprenticeship. May God bless you and your family.

Ivan was one of the sweetest gentleman I knew I loved seeing his sweet smiling face at church. I will miss his kindness.

Dearest David and Tommy,
It is with a tear in my eyes that I send this message. Your dad was such a good friend of ours, as was your mom. I am so sorry for the loss of such a great man. Ivan was friend, family and fellow grandparent. He was always ready with a story and a smile. His heart was kind and generous. But he kept one on their toes with his sarcasm and wit. A charming Southern gentleman who will be missed dearly.♡

"Mr. Ivan" was a wonderful, kind, caring neighbor. So sad to hear of his sudden passing. He will be deeply missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I did not know Ivan well, but when I would go on walks through the neighborhood and if he was outside, he would always stop to chat. Sometimes he was out checking on his neighbors. Sometimes he was out mowing his lawn or his neighbor's lawn, and oh how he loved his sweet little dogs. He seemed always to be a kind and gentle man who looked out for others. I will miss seeing him and talking with him.
