What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul.
Thank you for sharing your son with all of us and this world.
His life made an impact and a difference.

To Alex:
I remember when I met you I thought finally someone Adam can have an eye level conversation with. That was my own attempt at being clever, something I don't remember you ever lacking. You were really smart, but had this humility to you where I never heard you brag. You were very kind and had this intense desire to be well liked, and Alex you were so loved. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to Adam and Joey and Finn. Thank you for loving Alice and Hannah. Thank you for being nothing but kind to me. I will always remember listening to songs in the car with you, going on downtown explorations with you. and us sleeping our way through high school together. I hope you know how intensely you are loved and missed.
Love Liv.

And to Alex's Family: Thank you for creating Alex. He did nothing but make me smile and improve the lives of me and my friends. You both did a beautiful job raising a boy who loved so intensely, cared so much about the world, and was as talented as Alex.

ps) The picture is from the Lake Logan Trip. Alex and I were in creative writing together and we were all lying out on the grass, enjoying the beautiful day.

I have loved you Alex/Sasha since you were an adorable 5 year old, accompanying your beautiful mama to Nia classes. I gave you Brownie the first, your pet gecko on your 7th birthday, at Folly Beach park. Probably much to the chagrin of your mom and dad....We share the same birthday, my sweet Aries boy. You were so dear to me. Your parents are so very dear to me. Both amazing artists, and you were too. Every time I saw you, you made me feel love. Precious boy, I will miss you more than anybody could ever know. You grew into such a handsome, deep, interesting young man. I promise to keep you and your parents in my heart and I will try to comfort them as best I can. I love you Alex.

Dear Amy and Michael,
I am David McSweeney's sister. We have met in Mount Pleasant a few times over the years. I have one memory in particular that has stayed with me and that is all of us trick or treating together Halloween of 2008, just after William was born. Alexander was about 7. He was a very sweet little boy and we had such a fun time walking up to these very handsome houses in a fancy neighborhood somewhere in North Charleston.
My husband, Chris and I send you our deepest sympathies. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Alex: you and I are cousins. We may have seen one another, maybe, five times or less - during your lifetime. Your Grandmother, Lynda, is my first cousin. So that means, I think, you and I are 3rd cousins. You were a very handsome young man. My heart is breaking over the news of your death. I guess you never knew (or vaguely remember), your great-grandparents, Carl and Ruby Hopkins. But I did and let me say: they love you! I'm sure you have met them already (in Heaven). Your Granddaddy, Dick Kuffel, was a hoot. He used to hound me about the Carolina Gamecocks and the Georgia Bulldogs. I was in attendance at your grandparents wedding. I sat with Grannie Bradley (your great great grandmother), near the front of the sanctuary (prestige seating). Alex, I wish I had known you better. You are blood of my blood (the Bradley family). I know that the Bradley's are of strong stock, you are blessed of that stock. I don't know why the Good Lord called you Home at such a young age, but I will not question Him. So let me say: May God be with your parents and your entire family during this sad time. We ALL will miss you, Alex. I look forward to seeing you in Heaven one of these glorious days. Rest in peace and know that you are loved dearly, even way over here in Georgia. Love and hugs from Teresa and Mike Shirley

Michael and Amy,
I know you both to be dedicated, loving parents. Alex was a brilliant child. I will always remember that complicated art project you did with Alex at Buist, Michael. You passed your talent down to your son. And Amy, I will never forget meeting you in Earthfare for the first time, then so many times after. Alex was that beautiful baby with a shock of blonde hair and a big smile, with the mom who has a heart of gold. My love to both of you.
