I had Will as a student at USC last fall, he and I had a good handful of one on one opportunities to work on things and to keep him as focused as he could be. I knew there was a spark in his desire to succeed. I can see his smile and hear his voice even now, and I'd say the last time I saw him was in November. It's a real tragedy, it breaks my heart. My condolences to the rest of his friends and family.

From being friends from different high schools to going off to college together, my best days have always included Bean bag. Whether it was Station 28th on Sullivan's everyday in high school, hanging out by the river or at Alex's old house in Columbia watching Trailer Park Boys even though I hate that show, USC game days, running around Bates or East quad freshman year, birthdays, he has been there for all of it, even the bad times when I needed a shoulder to cry on. One of my favorite memories is the first time Bean really spent time with my parents. This was actually just last year. I had called him because we had an extra ticket to a Fleetwood Mac cover band downtown and wanted to see if he would go. He immediately said yes and showed up to my house in his infamous greenish blue and plaid button down. Definitely his go to going out shirt. I remember complaining about looking fat in my outfit and him telling me repeatedly that I looked beautiful and I needed to stop saying that. This was not the first or last time Bean had done this. He was always the type to hype up his female friends when they needed it. Fast forward to the rest of the night and we had the best time with my family. I had always known Bean to be good with parents, but that night I was especially impressed. Bean was good at making himself at home in any situation because of how easy going he was at all times. A few days later I dragged him and Caroline to Fright Night with my little sister and I. As we were getting out of the car I realized I had somehow forgotten my shoes. Bean immediately took off his shoes and offered them to me saying he would just go through the haunted house barefoot. I refused and ended up just wearing his socks and you can imagine how ridiculous I looked walking around a haunted house wearing Bean's gigantic socks cause he's like a million feet tall. Bean was selfless, SUCH a gentleman to women, and you never worried if he would fit in because loving Bean is always easy.

I have had the privilege of meeting Will. He spent time at our home. London Campanelli is our daughter. They were great friends. We want to help, although we can't bring him back. He was loved. Ginger, my wife, and I am devastated as is our daughter London. It is incomprehensible to understand this. However y'all are fervently in our prayers and in our hearts.

I am very saddened to hear of Will. He was Brody's first friend when we moved here in 2006 and the two of them were so much fun together. Whether they were playing lacrosse, swimming or just being goofy they were a joy. Those two could eat and eat! I have so many pictures of the two of them through the years. Brody was always welcome at your house as Will was at ours. Will was such a great kid and I loved him. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
