Whenever I become aware that another Marine has answered his last muster, I am reminded by words in our Marines' Hymn that tells us, the streets of Heaven are guarded by United States Marines. Stack arms and rest your pack, Marine, and then take your post. You still have important work to do. Semper Fi, and carry on.

Words do not come easy during these times, our thoughts are so clouded with thoughtful memories, laughter, good food, drinks, and sadness. We shared great times in North Carolina (Camp Lejeune) were we both had the opportunity to serve in the same battalion. Lamar and Denise opened their home to me and introduced me to a good church many years ago so I greatly appreciate them both. Lamar got me out of trouble a few times, those were the days. I'm so grateful that we had that time to make memories that will be forever etched in my heart! A great man is now on duty in heaven, Semper Fidelis Marine! Semper Fi! OORAH!

Fall in was the command used to gather a squad of Marines together,to get them attuned to the next commands coming forth. Sgt lamar Cromwell I believe answered that command when God called him to that eternal formation. From one Marine to another I can say his voice and presence will surely be missed as well as his zest for life.I truly believe that when I look on heavens scene I will find that the streets are guarded by a United States Marine.
