Babe was born May 30, 1929 in Bloomfield, New Jersey, daughter of the late Harold Greenwood and Ethel Morse Greenwood. Her work experience was in accounting, bookkeeping and finance manager. Babe was employed by New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. and Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company and as finance clerk for Fluvanna County Public Schools. She was also the secretary for Roper Hospital PN School and a greeter at Walmart and Chick-fil-a on James Island.

Babe enjoyed the outdoors, camping, playing golf and loved writing and was a published author of Poetry. Her inviting smile and laughter, which evidenced her love of life, was well known by many. She credited her positive attitude toward life to her faith in Jesus Christ.

Babe was a Christian who loved our Great, Good God, and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ; she was a part of James Island Baptist Church. She was a devoted loving Mom and an instant friend to all she met.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda V. Glover (Norty) of Charleston, SC; her son, Paul Vander Vliet (Joy) of Levittown, PA.; her step-daughter, Candice L. Brown of Johns Island, SC; her step-son, Eugene J. Galus, Jr. (Janet) of Seabrook Island, SC; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
