Ernest Leo Doyle, Jr., 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of the late Beverly Jennings Doyle, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, in Collinwood, Tennessee. His funeral service will be held at the graveside on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.Ernest was born March 26, 1933 in Charleston, South Carolina, the son of the late Ernest Leo Doyle, Sr. and the late Cora Bishop Doyle Sr. He was an Army Veteran and was employed by the Charleston Naval Shipyard for 31 years.Ernest was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Beverly Jennings Doyle.He is survived by his son, Ernest Leo Doyle III (Patty) of Collinwood, TN; and his beloved grandson, Daniel Clarke Doyle (Kylie), of Nashville, TN.Memorials may be made to boykinspanielrescue.org.

Leo, we were sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He always talked about Daniel and shared the story of how he and your mother met. We really missed seeing him around West Ashley. You and Patty are in our thoughts and prayers.

Leo I am sorry to hear about your Dad passing. Your Dad and Mom was always so nice to be around and loved talking with them when we hung out at your house. I hope you and Patty know I send my prayers and love.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Leo. He was my supervisor at the Charleston Naval Shipyard code 229. Always thought of him as being a good decent person. I liked him. May his family and all of us see him someday and Glory. I knew he loved the Lord.
