Catherine "Kitty" Sawadske Willard, 97, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Edward P. Willard, Sr. entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Her Graveside Service will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at Bethany Cemetery, 10 Cunnington Avenue at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.

Kitty was born February 20, 1919 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of George O. Sawadske and Madeline Rudd Sawadske. She graduated from Memminger High School and Palmer Business School. Kitty was a retired church secretary and a member of St. Johannes Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son, Edward P. "Ted" Willard, Jr. (Cindy) of Ridgeville, SC; daughter, Kathi W. Pogorzelski (Jan) of Mount Pleasant, SC; two granddaughters: Christine W. Markland and Rebecca K. Pogorzelski; and great-grandson, Sullivan D. Markland.
