Reverend Claude Everette Crawford, Jr., 81, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 3, 2017. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street, at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens . The relatives and friends may pay their respects Tuesday at the chapel one hour prior to the service.

Rev. Crawford was born January 27, 1936 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Claude Everette Crawford, Sr. and Alma Mildred Halsall Crawford. He was a graduate of Newberry College in Newberry, SC and The Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC. Rev. Crawford served churches in Kentucky, South Carolina, Maryland and North Carolina.

He is survived by his children: Cynthia Hulda Crawford Earle, Ashley Brailsford Crawford Guilbert, and Timothy Wacker Crawford, all of Charleston; brother, David William Crawford of Florence, SC; and grandchildren: Jesse Louis Earle, Kaitlyn Camille Guilbert, Marina Sophie Crawford, and Samantha Grace Guilbert. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Halsall Crawford.
