David Carson Nichols, 71, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Colleen Nichols entered into eternal rest Monday, February 21, 2022. A Celebration of David's Life will be held at his residence on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 1-4 PM. Please contact Colleen at 843-367-7726 for service details. Arrangements by J. David was born February 28, 1950, in Panama, son of the late Robert L. and Doris Osterman Nichols. He was a retired construction project manager and spent many years employed with Alison Dailey Properties. David graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University where he played football and his enthusiasm for football continued afterwards as a long time Penn State fan. He enjoyed Nascar, boating, fishing, and spending time in his garage "tinkering." David was devoted to his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepson, Michael Roessler (Aleksei Kolodkain) of Charlotte, North Carolina and stepdaughter, Stefanie McCoy of North Charleston, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jordan, and Ash; sisters, Susan Ferrara of Florida, Donna Nichols of Rhode Island, and Martha Steuer of Rhode Island and brother, Paul Nichols (Lindsay) of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Nichols.
