Deborah Ruth Wallace Monteith, 63, of Summerville, SC, wife of James Eugene Monteith entered into eternal rest Friday, March 18, 2022. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private.

Debbie was born August 31, 1958 in Charleston, SC, daughter of Harmon Eugene Wallace and Myrtis Latrell Jowers Wallace. She was of Southern Baptist faith and loved the Lord! She was an advocate for animal rights and enjoyed collecting teddy bears. Debbie never knew a stranger and would befriend everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Monteith; three siblings: Gary T. Wallace (Nina) of Moncks Corner, SC; Mike Wallace, Sr. (Tammy) of Rock Hill, SC; Paula Wallace Adkins (Tom) of Cedarville, OH; and many nieces and nephews who she cherished and adored; and fur babies, Snoopy and George.
