Dorothy S. Denson, 80, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, widow of Henry "Whitey" Columbus Denson, Jr., died Saturday, March 17, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Dottie was born January 17, 1938 in Charleston, South Carolina, one of four children of the late Irwin L Suhrstedt and the late Harriett Brinker Suhrstedt. She was a homemaker and member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela J. Garcia of Goose Creek, SC; three sons: Robert J. Denson, Henry M. Denson, Kenneth L. Denson; seven grandchldren; 15 great-grandchildren. Her brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.
