Gilda Halago Perez, 85, of North Charleston, SC, wife of Leodegario Perez entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 23, 2021. Her Liturgy of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC, 29445, Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:00am. Inurnment will follow at the church columbarium. The family will receive friends Monday, June 28, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston.

Gilda was born July 5, 1935, daughter of the late Segundo Halago and Antonia Adorable Halago. She was a registered nurse and a member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church in Hanahan. Gilda loved to dance the Tango and the Cha-Cha with her loving husband. She enjoyed gardening and working outdoors in her yard and was always there to help care for her grandchildren while they were growing up.

She is survived by a daughter, Mae Perez Rodriguez; son, Leo Gilbert (Jenni) Perez; four grandchildren, Jonathan Marcus Fowler, Angela Noelle Fowler, Cecelia Judith Perez and Gryphon Alexander Perez; brother, Richelieu "Boy" (Lolita) Halago; three sisters, Theresa "Chit" Bayate, Louella "Ne'wel" Duque and Manuela Halago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, "Nonoy" and sisters, "Ne'Sing" and "Ning Ning".
