Hannah Kathryn Warren of Charleston, SC passed away on March 1, 2017 after a hard-fought, courageous, and dignified battle with pediatric cancer. She was born on January 9, 1997 into a loving family as the only girl, the princess of the Warren family. She quickly developed her strength and wit to hold her own with her two brothers. Hannah was a bright light on earth with her positivity and infectious personality. She shared her angelic voice with those blessed to know her and even turned heads on a Broadway stage. If she wasn't wearing her radiant smile, it was because she was doing dramatic improv. Hannah's sense of humor, endless puns and lively demeanor lit up every room she entered.
Hannah's formative years were spent at Mason Preparatory School where she impacted many lives. She graced the stage at Bishop England High School where she starred in many musicals, including her leading role as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes. Hannah exercised her strong faith and selflessness through her participation in her youth group and one of her passions, Salkehatchie Summer Service. Her sermon during Youth Sunday rivaled the best of the best. Hannah loved boating with friends and family, belting out showtunes, traveling, and making fun out of anything ordinary.
Cancer cut short her senior year, but she graduated from BEHS with honors in 2015 while simultaneously fighting the disease. She continued her battle against cancer while she made the Dean's List in her first semester at Clemson University, majoring in Production Studies in Performing Arts. Hannah was a founding member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and cheered the Tigers on to a national championship on her final birthday. She deeply touched innumerable lives in her mere 20 years.
Hannah is survived by her parents, Dr. Gerald and Torey Warren; maternal grandparents, Walter and Margaret Martin; two brothers, Matthew Martin Warren (Katie) and David Forrester Warren; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Clemmie Warren.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 3, 2017 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her beautiful life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 413 Geddes Ave. at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Hannah's honor to be sent to the South Carolina Chapter of Make-A-Wish, 225 South Pleasantburg Drive, Suite B-8, Greenville, SC 29607, or to St. Mark United Methodist Church.
