Harold Grater, 80, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Benay Susan Greene Grater entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 31, 2020. His graveside service will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 in Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Harold was born November 22, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Max Grater and Esther Rosenfeld Grater. He was retired from the women's clothing industry. Harold obtained his bachelors and masters degrees at The Citadel in his late 60's.

He is survived by his son, Rabbi Joshua Levine Grater of Pasadena, CA; his daughter, Rachel Gabrielle Grater of Brooklyn, NY; and three grandchildren: Noah Grater, Ella Grater, and Joseph Grater Glenn.
