Joe L. Sankitts, 68, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Flossie Ann Petty Sankitts entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 17, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 25, 2021, in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 am. Interment with military honors will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.

Joe was born March 9, 1953, in St. Croix, Virgin Islands; he was the son of the late George Sankitts and the late Rosa Santana Sankitts. He retired from the US Navy as a Hull Technician. Joe was a faithful member of Harvestime Assembly Church and served as a deacon. He enjoyed auto mechanics.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Flo, three children, Joe Sankitts (Carolyn) of Camden, SC, Robert A. Sankitts (LaVondilyn) of Denver, CO, and daughter, Denise Sankitts Williams of Midlothian, VA; two grandchildren: Alea and Alayna Sankitts; three siblings, Thomester R Williams, Sharmaynne Thomas and Rose Maria Romley.
