Melissa Ward Hunter, 55, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 7, 2022. Her celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Melissa was born October 28, 1966 in Laredo, Texas, daughter of Iris Gato Rhea and the late Thomas Joseph Ward. She was a 1984 graduate of Middleton High School and a graduate of Winthrop College. Melissa was an interior designer and owner of MWHunter.

She is survived by her parents, Iris and Albert Rhea of Charleston, SC; two sons Charles Boyd Hunter (Brooke) and Hayden W. Hunter; daughter, Morgan H. Coyne (Chad) and three grandchildren Cales, Bayliss and Blythe.
