Michelle Blakeley Cole, 38, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Clinton Edward Cole, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 29, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Michelle was born July 2, 1979 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Michael O'Neal Blakeley and Nancy Haselden Blakeley. She attended Francis Marion University and graduated from The College of Charleston, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She worked as a 4th grade teacher at Pinckney Elementary School while earning her Master's Degree in Counseling from The Citadel. Following completion of her graduate studies, she worked as a guidance counselor at Laurel Hill Elementary until 2009, when she cared for her children at home full-time. Michelle was active in children's ministry at East Cooper Baptist Church and was a former member of the Junior League of Charleston.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Michelle is survived by her son, Conner Clinton Cole (8), and her daughter, Blakeley Marie Cole (5); her brother, Michael Elwin Blakeley and his wife Mary Margaret White Blakeley and their children, Ella and Hase, of Green Pond, SC; her brother-in-law, Alan DeWitt Cole and his wife Margaret Ann Mullins Cole and their children, Margaret Ramsey Cole and Catherine Gail Cole of Cumming, GA; her husband's parents, DeWitt Clinton Cole and Gail Dye Cole of Powder Springs, GA; and her aunt, Lynn Blakeley Mixon of Andrews, SC.

Through her cancer struggle, Michelle continued to praise her Savior daily. Her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. David Ellison and his entire staff at CHOA in West Ashley, especially Mary, Kelly and Ashley, and the entire 5th floor staff at Roper Cancer Center. She will be sorely missed, not only by family but numerous friends.
