Robert (Bob) N. Williams, Jr. 74 passed away peacefully at his home on March 29, 2018.

Born in Decherd, TN in 1944 to the late Leona Milam Williams Sanford and Robert N. Williams, Sr., he grew up in Laurens, SC. He attended Clemson University, was a member of the Army National Guard and proudly worked for Fluor Daniel in Greenville primarily as a project manager and in business development for 35 years. He frequently talked about his work experiences serving as project manager in Puerto Rico, Richmond, and Salt Lake City. His gifts for fixing and repairing, working and leading people, helping and assisting others, led him to Charleston in 2003 to open a handy man services business. Bob finally retired in February.

Bob lived a full life. Every single second he lived joyfully, enthusiastically, gratefully and with a servant's heart. He was sensitive and kind, fair and honest, loveable and loving. He enjoyed telling stories and jokes. He saw the good in every person and in every situation. Whatever he had, he gladly gave. He loved food, music, golf, and wine. He loved all people. He loved entertaining. He was a gentleman with gracious manners and taught his children well. He loved God and church. He was an example to all who knew him.

Bob cherished his family who sadly misses him and who rejoices in the times we all had with him and the memories we will always share. He leaves his beloved wife Laura Haws Williams, his two children, daughter Andrea Williams Bragg (Ray) of Hilton Head Island, his son Robert Scott Williams (Sally) of Chattanooga, TN; his three stepchildren, Judith Correll Smith (Kevin) of Mt. Pleasant, Samuel Burton Correll (Amber) of Prosper, TX, and Caroline Correll Gebhardt (Nick) of Atlanta, GA. He was B-Bob to grandchildren Abbey and Julia Bragg; Anna Williams; Sky, Cadia, Keegan, Rowan and Sage Spraker; Ellie, Harrison and Anna Smith; Jackson and Lilly Correll; and Cole and Leo Gebhardt. Bob's two faithful dogs, Lucy and Gracie, were always by his side.

Serving as an usher at Grace Church Cathedral was a mission he gladly looked forward to on Sundays. His funeral service will be there on Tuesday, April 3, at 2 PM and a reception will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to Grace Church Cathedral, 98 Wentworth Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
