Robert Lee Cumbee, Sr., 70, of McClellanville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 28, 2021. His memorial service will be held Saturday, August 7 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Robert was born August 30, 1950 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Cleatworth Lawton Cumbee, Jr. and Estelle Page Cumbee, Jr. He may be best known by many for trolling the Lowcountry waters as a commercial shrimper.

He is survived by his daughter, Summer Cumbee of McClellanville, SC; two sons, Robert "Bobby" Lee Cumbee, Jr. of James Island, SC and Jesse Allen Cumbee of Johns Island, SC; three brothers, Ronnie Cumbee of Marshallberg, NC, C.L. Cumbee of McClellanville, SC, and Darrell Cumbee (Alice) of McClellanville, SC; and three sisters, Lisa Cumbee of Awendaw, SC, Donna Player Awendaw, SC, and Annette Cumbee of Awendaw, SC. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Cumbee.
