Robin Paige Womble, 47, of Charleston, South Carolina, died Sunday, November 18, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 pm. Reverend Tim Trexler will officiate.

Robin was born August 31, 1971 in Durham, North Carolina, daughter of George Earl Womble and Rebecca Rule Womble. She attended The Ben Lippen School, graduated Harnett Central High School and earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ spending many summers on mission trips and active with InterVarsity. Her teaching career began at World Impact School in Watts Los Angeles, CA, and later she taught at Palmetto Christian Academy in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Throughout her life, she tutored many children. Robin continued to impact lives as a volunteer with the City of Refuge in Atlanta, GA. At the young age of 4, alongside her Dad, Robin prayed to receive Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She believed her calling was to serve children in the inner cities, and as such was color blind; she accepted everyone for where and who they were.

Robin courageously battled mental illness all of her adult life and sought help until the end. She is finally healed and at peace. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8.

She is survived by her parents, George and Rebecca Womble of Lillington, NC; brother, George Bagett Womble (Marla); sister, Holly Womble Buceti (Paul). The joys of her life were her nephew and nieces, Paul Joseph Buceti III, Isabella Marie Buceti, Lilly Rebecca Buceti and Willow Ivy Womble; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving is her faithful companion dog, Malcolm and a host of friends.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
