Thomas "Tommy" Joseph Walker Sr., 62, entered into eternal rest at his James Island home on December 14, 2017. His Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Thomas was born on November 12, 1955 in Charleston, SC, son of the late John Harold and Julia Rowell Walker. He attended St. Johns High School, and was an undefeated Golden Glove boxer at the College of Charleston. Tommy loved nature, and had an amazing "green thumb." He was big animal lover, avid traveler and a lover of life. Tommy was a pipe fitter for over twenty years with the Local 470 and was very skilled at his trade.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Bray Walker; children, Thomas "TJ" (Melissa), Andrea, Dusty (Kimberly), and Scott; four grandsons, Dagan, Greyson, Derek, Landon; three brothers, Harold (Stephanie), Charles (Debra), Benny (Rhonda); sister, Lyn Walker, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Billy Walker (Terri).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tommy's name to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.
