FT1 Thomas O. Lockyer, USN (Ret.) 81, of Charleston, SC, widower of Susan Jones Lockyer, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 1, 2021. His funeral service will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11:00AM, at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00AM until the time of service. Interment with military honors will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Dr., North Charleston. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Tom was born December 4, 1939 in Queens, New York, son of the late Orrin Lockyer and Virginia Kremelberg Lockyer. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and faithfully served his country as a Fire Technician 1st Class, until his retirement. After his retirement from the Navy, he worked in the Civil Service at the Naval Shipyard. Tom was a movie buff and enjoyed going to the movie theatre, as well as playing golf with his buddies. Most importantly, Tom loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them - in particular, his grandchildren.

He is survived by two stepsons; Dennis Everding (Wendy Grafsgarrd) of Lincoln, ND and Lenny Everding (Sulema) of Summerville, SC; two stepdaughters; Corrie Cochran (Robert) and Julie Davis, both of Summerville, SC; brothers and sisters; Mary Jane Regan, Ann Lockyer and Ellen Lockyer-Romero (Fidencio); one brother, Timmy Lockyer (Mary Donna); 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse and one sister, Joanie Lockyer.
