Violet "Boots" Zoraida Sohl Violet "Boots" Zoraida Sohl, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 13, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 1605 Harbor View Road at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., 3360 GLENN McCONNELL PARKWAY from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Boots was born October 5, 1929 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Heinrich Peter Sohl and Mary Toomer Sohl. She was a retired Bell South telephone operator, a member of the Bell Pioneers and an active member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her cousin, Mary and Smiley Corbin of North Charleston, SC; nephew, Clifton and Pat Pruett of Charleston, SC; cousin, Gloria and Woody Wyndham of North Charleston, SC, Goddaughter, Sherrie Davis of North Charleston, SC and close friend Sherry Fowler of Charleston, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 1605 Harbor View Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
